Success Stories
STRIDE Collaborative Partners have engaged in a number of projects that have been reducing diesel emissions here in the Southeast. Below are some recent success stories that we hope you will find useful:
North Carolina's VW Settlement Mitigation Work
The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality’s (DEQ) Division of Air Quality (DAQ) has awarded the third and final round of rebates for Level 2 charging projects to be funded by the NC Volkswagen Mitigation Settlement Program for Phase 1. This final group of rebates includes twenty-eight projects totaling $297,534.00. To date, DEQ has awarded $1,143,534.00 in Level 2 rebates for eighty-seven projects from the $1.15 million available for the program.
Contracts for Phase 1 DC Fast and Diesel Bus & Vehicle Program awards are continuing to be processed.
